UK Global School Partnership School Visits Mirpur

School & Teacher exchange programs with UK schools

Pakistan is a beautiful country with peaceful countryside, beautiful places and hospitable people.” These views were expressed by Mr Andrew Kirk, a faculty member of Thomas Deacon Academy Peterborough UK during his long awaited two days visit to Roots Millennium School Mirpur Campus under Global School Partnership, a project by British Council. Mr Abdullah Abdul Majid and Ms Alia Sait also accompanied him from UK.

Roots Millennium School Mirpur had a strong partnership with Thomas Deacon Academy Peterborough UK since 2009. On the basis of their active partnership, both the schools won RV Grant by British Council and the Headmistress Mrs Imrana Naeem visited Thomas Deacon Academy in 2010. Mr Andrew Kirk and his team were enthralled by the spellbound welcome performance of the students. They also had to face critical questions during the Q/A session which forced the guests to appreciate the high caliber of these young Millennials.

CIE bridging public and private schools divide

Champions of CHANGE

Change-in Education in collaboration with Roots Millennium Schools and Gogi Studios organized “Champions of Change.” The event aimed at bringing together the children of Roots Millennium Schools and Government Girls Primary School Kalyal, an adopted school of CIE thus bridging the private and public sector divide. The event which was both a learning and entertainment opportunity led the children interact with one another, inculcate the skills and feelings of Sharing and Caring, share their experiences and helped everyone understand the plight and difficulties of the underprivileged and less fortunate.

The event was greatly appreciated by the guests and highly acknowledged the dedication, commitment and hard work of Chaudhry Faisal Mushatq (TI), Founder & CEO Change-in Education and his team working passionately for the betterment of education in Pakistan. The event was a huge success that helped brought smiles on the faces of the under privileged children. Speaking on the occasion Chaudhry Faisal Mushatq (TI) said: “Education is the single most common factor that can lead to enhanced socio economic productivity, quality of life and empowerment of all. Enrollment rates remain low and efficient and equitable access to education is proving to be elusive to majority of the people in Pakistan.

The only solution to this is Public Private Partnerships. Public Private Partnerships are the only strategic way of expanding and ensuring equitable access of quality education and improving learning outcomes in Pakistan. CIE's vision is to overhaul Pakistan's education system by providing sustainable educational development. Change-in Education thrives to revolutionize the existing education system, by reforming the public education system by filling the gaps and providing sustainable solutions and ensure access to quality education to all. We intend to develop human beings who are open-minded, critical thinkers, disciplined yet energetic in thought and action.”
