Pakistan Red Crescent & Roots Millennium Schools aim to nurture a sense of Social Responsibility & Community Work
Roots Millennium Schools and Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly develop, mobilize and train youth volunteers for Students and Staff of Roots Millennium Schools nationwide. Chief Executive RMS Chaudhry Faisal Mushtaq TI and Dr. Mahboob Sardar Secretary General of PRCS agreed on cooperation of the Institutions in enhancing mutual interest and understanding along with development of Pakistan. The Community Involvement Programme at RMS in collaboration with PRCS provides students with the opportunity to participate in meaningful activities which contributes to the community. It aims to nurture a sense of social responsibility and help students understand that everyone can play a part in bettering the community.
Our aim is to encourage our students for long-term involvement in community service. PRCS has provided us proper structure, guidance and supervision so as to engage our students. To sustain volunteerism beyond the school years, we encourage all our campuses to forge long-term partnerships with community organisations like PRCS to deepen the quality of the volunteerism experience for our students and to allow for continuity of contribution beyond the schooling years. Numerous on going First Aid Training Courses are an integral part of Millennials PRCS Volunteerism Initiative which could make all the difference if an emergency happened in their doorstep. Volunteering at Millennium Schools complies with all capacities of the RMS Curriculum for Excellence helping young students to become successful learners, confident individuals, and effective contributors but it particularly develops responsible citizens.
We are committed to render our all support and to take active part in any activity aimed to further strengthening this great National cause and promoting awareness.
